CTP expands iwis factory in Oradea by 4,000 sqm, strengthening the industrial platform at the western border

CTP has completed the expansion of the 4,000 sqm production facility operated by iwis within CTPark Oradea City, increasing the German automotive manufacturer’s total occupied area to 11,000 sqm. The project comes four years after iwis entered the industrial platform in northwestern Romania and reflects a gradual growth of local operations.

The expansion is intended to increase production capacity for automotive components, especially chains and tensioning systems, as part of the group’s global network. According to the company, the investment is part of an international development plan for production capacities, with Romania remaining an operational support hub.

From the perspective of the real estate developer, the project confirms the “build-to-suit” development strategy, through which industrial spaces are tailored to tenants’ specific requirements. CTP representatives emphasize that such expansions contribute to strengthening Oradea as a regional industrial hub, supported by transport infrastructure and proximity to the Hungarian border.

CTPark Oradea City benefits from access to the European corridor E60 and an operational intermodal terminal, elements that support international logistics flows. At the same time, CTP continues its expansion in the area, targeting a cumulative surface of approximately 100,000 sqm across its three industrial parks in Oradea.

For Oradea, such investments indicate an increasingly clear specialization in manufacturing and logistics, supported by cross-border connectivity and availability of industrial labor.
