STRABAG Acquires Brenneka and Enters the Romanian Market
STRABAG Property and Facility Services (STRABAG PFS) has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Brenneka Install SRL and Samivo Instal SRL, companies belonging to the Brenneka Group, headquartered in Bacău with an operational office in Bucharest.
The transaction, signed on 11 August 2026, is subject to approval by the competent authorities and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
STRABAG PFS Enters the Romanian Market
The acquisition marks STRABAG PFS’s entry into the Romanian market and expands the activities of its Building Solutions division in Eastern Europe. The company provides integrated building and technical facility services and is already present in Germany, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Luxembourg.
Through the acquisition of Brenneka, STRABAG PFS is expanding its service portfolio and strengthening its platform for developing its business in Romania and Southeastern Europe.
Brenneka Has More Than 230 Employees
Founded in 2007, Brenneka is one of Romania’s major providers of building services for civil and industrial construction. The company has more than 230 employees and provides heating, ventilation and air-conditioning services, plumbing and electrical installations, automation systems and fire protection systems.
Its portfolio also includes municipal networks, design, engineering, construction and fit-out works.
Expansion in Southeastern Europe
STRABAG PFS says the acquisition is part of its “Build-and-Buy” strategy and is aimed at expanding in a market with growth potential.
Brenneka founders Mihai Ojog and Lucian-Florentin Vultur view the transaction as a new stage for the company, combining the experience accumulated over almost 20 years with STRABAG’s resources and international presence.
