ANA Hotels Group, owned by businessman George Copos, announced the completion of the first stage of the renovation process of the Athénée Palace Hilton, respectively "New Wing" with 132 rooms, the works being completed in less than six months, after an investment which amounted to 13 million euros.

The hotel has undergone three fundamental renovations in its history over a century. This year, ANA Hotels began the fourth major renovation of the monumental building, located between the Romanian Athenaeum and the Royal Palace. The total investment initially planned at 25 million euros, could reach 30 million euros by the end of the project.

"I am Romanian, I invest in Romania, I believe in Romania and in a job well done. I want to do special things that will remain ", said the owner of ANA Hotels, in a press conference.

The financing of the works is ensured both from its own sources and from a loan that the company contracted from BRD - Groupe Société Générale, based on a partnership of over 20 years.

The architectural concept was made by the company Alexander James International from London, the effective implementation of the concept was made by the Romanian company Inegal Design, and the general contractor was the company Bog’Art.

“The new look of the Athénée Palace Hilton rooms is based on a modern, elegant design concept, but complementary to the hotel's over 107-year history. A strong emphasis was placed on the quality of the materials used, and the technical features are defined by advanced and innovative technologies of the latest generation so that guests can enjoy a unique stay in a prestigious location with luxurious and modern facilities", says ANA Hotels.

At the same time, the investment also aimed at the complete redesign of the water supply systems, the air conditioning systems, and the entire exterior and interior carpentry. Thus, Athénée Palace Hilton aims to reduce the environmental footprint and integrate investments as projects with social impact through ecological and technological innovations.

The Athénée Palace Hilton Hotel is one of the most sophisticated and prestigious landmarks in Bucharest. Built in 1914 and located in the heart of the city, the hotel offers spectacular views of Revolution Square, the Romanian Athenaeum, and the Royal Palace. The hotel offers a multitude of premium facilities in the 278 rooms and suites, 13 meeting rooms, a health club with a swimming pool and two restaurants, a terrace, and a bar.
