Schneider Electric Named the World’s Most Sustainable Company Again
Schneider Electric has been named the world’s most sustainable company for the third consecutive year in the ranking compiled by TIME Magazine and Statista. The recognition follows an assessment of 5,000 of the world’s largest and most influential companies, evaluating their performance in sustainability, corporate governance, and corporate responsibility.
The award reinforces the company’s strategy of embedding ESG principles into its business model while investing in electrification, energy efficiency, and digitalisation solutions.
Impact 2030 Strategy Accelerates ESG Objectives
Cutting Emissions and Improving Energy Efficiency
Schneider Electric recently launched its Impact 2030 strategy, built around four key priorities: electrification, industrial transformation, human capital development, and support for local communities.
During the first quarter of 2026, the company reported an 82.5% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 CO₂ emissions compared with its 2017 baseline. In addition, its solutions helped save or electrify 47.5 million MWh of energy while avoiding approximately 20 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions.
Circular Economy and Sustainable Supply Chains
The strategy also expands the application of circular economy principles in product development. According to the company, 14% of its main product portfolio currently under design already meets advanced environmental impact criteria.
At the same time, more than 1,100 suppliers are participating in the Zero Carbon Pathway programme, an initiative designed to reduce emissions across the company’s entire value chain.
Investing in Communities and Skills Development
Schneider Electric has also expanded its social impact programmes. During the first quarter of 2026, more than 2.8 million people gained access to sustainable electrification solutions, while approximately 113,000 individuals participated in training programmes focused on energy, automation, and electrification.
In addition to the recognition from TIME and Statista, Schneider Electric is the only company to have ranked first twice in the Corporate Knights Global 100 index and has appeared on the CDP Climate A List for 15 consecutive years, highlighting the consistency of its sustainability performance.
