Leroy Merlin Expands Its Logistics Center to 48,500 sqm in CTPark Bucharest West
Leroy Merlin Romania is strengthening its logistics infrastructure by expanding its regional distribution center in CTPark Bucharest West to 48,500 sqm, following an agreement signed with industrial developer CTP. The new built-to-suit facility is already under development and is scheduled for delivery in February 2027.
The investment reflects retailers’ growing need to adapt supply chains to larger merchandise volumes and the increasingly complex requirements of modern distribution. For Leroy Merlin, part of the French group ADEO, the new logistics center will support both store network replenishment and fulfillment operations associated with omnichannel commerce.
From the perspective of the industrial real estate market, the transaction confirms strong demand for built-to-suit projects developed according to tenants’ technical requirements. Unlike standard warehouses, such facilities are designed around the client’s operational processes, requiring more complex investments but also supporting long-term contractual commitments.
The new facility will incorporate features dedicated to logistics efficiency and operational safety, including specialized equipment charging areas, separate traffic flows for vehicles and personnel, and advanced fire protection systems. The configuration is intended to optimize internal processes and reduce goods-handling times.
The choice of CTPark Bucharest West highlights the growing importance of the western Bucharest logistics corridor. Its location near the A1 Motorway and rapid access to Bucharest make the area a strategic hub for national distribution and fast-delivery operations.
For CTP, the agreement represents one of the most significant expansions announced over the past year and further strengthens CTPark Bucharest West’s position as one of the largest and most active logistics hubs in Central and Eastern Europe.
