Erste Private Banking Romania, BCR’s wealth management division, has been named the Best Private Banking Service in Romania by PWM/The Banker – part of the Financial Times Group – for the third consecutive year and by Global Finance for the sixth year in a row. These recognitions reaffirm Erste Private Banking’s leadership and strong market position in Romania’s high-net-worth segment.

PWM’s evaluation was based on financial performance, investment solution diversity, digital innovation, and client relationship quality, reviewed by an international jury of 15 experts from Europe, North America, and Asia.

“Being recognized for the third time by PWM The Banker and the sixth time by Global Finance is a moment of great pride and fulfillment for our entire team,” said Ava Beznoska, Head of Erste Private Banking Romania, highlighting that the awards reflect both client trust and team professionalism.

Regionally, Erste Private Banking – part of Erste Group – was named Best Private Bank in Central and Eastern Europe for the 12th consecutive year by PWM/The Banker, while Global Finance awarded it Best Private Bank for Sustainable Investing in the same region.

As of mid-2025, Erste Private Banking Romania served over 3,700 clients and managed assets totaling around EUR 2.8 billion. The division operates nationwide through offices in Bucharest, Cluj, Timișoara, Brașov, Iași, and Constanța.

Erste Private Banking is the only bank in Romania offering a full suite of private banking services, including discretionary portfolio management, physical gold sales, and access to top international investment funds. In 2024, the division launched two new euro-denominated funds – ERSTE Liquidity EUR and ERSTE Balanced EUR – and enhanced its George digital platform, allowing clients to fully view and trade their portfolios online.
