PENNY opens its first store in Brânceni, expanding the network to 463 units
The retailer continues its national expansion by entering Teleorman, strengthening its presence in growth-potential areas and adapting its offering to local needs.
PENNY inaugurated its first store in Brânceni, located at Strada Principală no. 2, bringing the national network to 463 units. The new location covers 857.2 sqm of sales space and offers 75 parking spaces, including six for persons with disabilities. Store hours are 7:30–21:00 Monday to Saturday and 8:00–19:00 on Sunday.
The PENNY assortment focuses on the 3RO portfolio, promoting products made from local ingredients, processed and packaged in Romania, and includes dedicated areas for fresh products, private labels, and ready-to-eat items. The assortment is complemented by refrigerated and frozen options, tailored to customers’ everyday needs.
The retailer invests in sustainable technologies, such as energy-efficient refrigeration systems, photovoltaic panels, and electric vehicle charging stations, in line with ISO 50001 and BREEAM standards. The new stores also implement standardized systems to reduce emissions and optimize energy consumption.
This opening is part of the PENNY Punct strategy, which focuses on seven pillars: in-store experience, expansion, Romanian products, people, digitalization, sustainability, and integrated communication, highlighting the company’s commitment to combining network growth with the adaptation of offerings and infrastructure to local requirements and environmental standards.
