CEC Bank Finances New Oncology Hospital in Mureș with 1.126 Billion Lei

CEC Bank has contributed 1.126 billion lei in credit to support the construction of the recently inaugurated Medex Oncology Hospital in Sângeorgiu de Mureș. This significant investment underscores CEC Bank’s commitment to community development and enhancing the national healthcare system.

The Medex Oncology Hospital is a vital project for the local community and the entire Romanian healthcare system, providing access to high-quality medical services and advanced systems. We will continue to be a reliable partner in financing and supporting impactful initiatives,” stated Bogdan Neacșu, President of CEC Bank.

The new hospital boasts state-of-the-art equipment, enabling early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of oncological diseases. Covering over 10,700 square meters across five operational levels, the facility includes 52 rooms with 116 beds and features the first PET-CT scanner in Mureș County.

Construction of the Medex Vital Serv SRL-operated Center for Excellence in Imaging, Radiotherapy, and Oncology Treatment began in March 2022 and was completed in December 2023, with the total investment amounting to 33 million euros. The hospital offers a wide range of services, including preventive and curative medicine, psychological, and spiritual counseling.

The Medex Oncology Hospital’s outpatient department provides services across 18 medical specialties: Oncology, Radiotherapy, Cardiology, Allergy and Immunology, Pulmonology, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Maxillofacial Surgery, Hematology, Endocrinology, Neurology, Psychiatry, General Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery.
