Ascendis Group, one of Romania’s leading professional development training and consultancy firms, has acquired the renowned magazines Cariere and HR Manager in a transaction worth €300,000. This acquisition strengthens Ascendis’ commitment to expanding communication platforms for the HR community in Romania, Moldova, and the Romanian diaspora.

Andrei Goșu, Managing Partner at Ascendis, emphasized the significance of the two publications: “For over 17 years, Cariere and HR Manager have played an essential role in informing and sharing best practices in leadership. Our ambition is to invest in building the largest communication platform for the HR community across Romania and beyond.”

Cariere, founded in 2003, has established itself as a respected voice in Romania’s leadership and professional community, valued for its consistent and high-quality editorial content. Published bi-monthly, Cariere has approximately 120,000 readers per month, while the quarterly HR Manager magazine reaches 12,500 readers. Both publications are key players in organizing events for HR professionals and leaders annually.

In the short term, Ascendis aims to expand the distribution of both magazines to major cities in Romania and Moldova. In the medium term, the company plans to increase the publication frequency and develop new content formats to better serve the needs of HR professionals and organizations.
