Infosan Invests €2 Million in New Ophthalmology Clinic in Bucharest
Infosan, the only private pediatric ophthalmology hospital in Romania, has begun the construction of a new clinic in Bucharest, expanding its footprint in the medical services market. The company is investing approximately €2 million from its own funds into the project, which is expected to be completed in the first half of 2025. The new facility, located in the Iancului – Vatra Luminoasă area, will have the capacity to serve up to 200 patients per day, offering ophthalmological services for both children and adults.
Călin Ciubotaru, co-founder and medical doctor at Infosan, explained the motivation behind the investment: “The decision to expand our services with a new clinic is part of Infosan’s organic growth strategy. We are investing €2 million to ensure that Bucharest patients have access to advanced medical technologies and top-tier ophthalmology services. This investment not only covers state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment but also provides comfortable and safe spaces for our patients. We are confident that this clinic will significantly enhance the quality of medical services in the capital and meet the growing demand for vision care.”
The clinic will initially open with five consultation and treatment rooms, along with an optical shop. The entire project will be completed in three phases, with additional facilities being added until the full launch. Once fully operational, the clinic will include 20 consultation and treatment rooms and offer a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services, including specialized care for children’s vision problems and complex treatments for adults.
Infosan has been a key player in the ophthalmology sector since its founding in 2002. Its existing facility already serves 3,000 outpatient and 300 day-care patients monthly. The new clinic is expected to further increase the hospital’s ability to meet the needs of patients with a variety of eye conditions.
