
Over €2 Billion in Non-Reimbursable Funding Available in Q1 2025 for Romanian Investments
REI Grup, one of Romania’s top consultancy firms specializing in non-reimbursable funding, has revealed that more than €2 billion will be allocated in the first quarter of 2025. These funds aim to support projects in key areas like start-ups, technology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, agriculture, and tourism. With over 15 financing programs available, funding ranges from €50,000 to €57 million per project.
Notable initiatives include the €445 million “Start-up Nation 2025” program, targeting young entrepreneurs under 30 and individuals aged 30-35 or returning from the diaspora, with grants of up to €50,000 each. The Modernization Fund will disburse over €750 million for projects such as renewable energy installations, battery storage, and energy efficiency in industrial facilities. Additionally, Horizon Europe offers €300 million for innovation in digitalization, renewable energy, and biotechnology.
