SanoPass and MedLife promote wellness among employees: the medical operator expands the portfolio of benefits dedicated to its team with SanoPass FIT subscriptions

SanoPass FIT by MedLife, the leader of the MedTech market in Romania and part of the MedLife group, announces the expansion of its strategic partnership with the provider of medical services, strengthening joint efforts to encourage physical activity among employees. Thus, from 2024, MedLife will also add wellness benefits to the extra-salary package for all employees by integrating SanoPass FIT subscriptions, being an example of supporting a healthy and productive work environment where each team member feels encouraged to adopt a style of active and balanced life.

With SanoPass FIT memberships, MedLife employees can access partner fitness centres nationwide, including wellness programs and facilities. The benefits of SanoPass FIT subscriptions significantly impact the health and well-being of employees. In the context where 62% of Romanians do not practice any sport or physical activity, according to the Eurobarometer survey dedicated to sport and physical activity, SanoPass reiterates its commitment to supporting the adoption of an active lifestyle, improving the quality of life. Within MedLife, of the total number of employees active in the platform, 79.1% are women and 20.29% are men, the most active age groups being 25-31 years and 32-38 years. To date, an average of 1729 subscribers have gone to a gym and generated 3798 entries, about 8.8 per month.

According to an extensive study conducted by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), which involved more than 100,000 adult participants over 20 years, people who practised regular physical activities reduced their risk of developing heart disease by up to 30%. Develop cardiovascular disease and up to 50% risk of diabetes compared to those who had a low level of physical activity.
