
General Meeting of the Members of the Hellenic-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce
On Thursday, 03 December 2020, the General Meeting of the Members of the Hellenic-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce took place.
The meeting was held by virtual means, and the voting was carried out under confidentiality measures ensured by a safe, transparent, and effective platform.
The Hellenic-Romanian business community elected its new Board of Directors members:
Evangelos Vlastos (Alexandrion Group Romania)
Georgios Kapraras (K-Box Architects Romania)
Alexandros Ignatiadis (Comat Electro SRL)
Savvas Antoniadis (Isomat Romania)
Danae Stambouli (Cytogenomic Clinic)
The above mentioned, together with Christodoulos Seferis (TGS Romania) Chairman, Ioannis Alfieris (Accord Electronic) Secretary-general, Georgios Galanakis (Fatrom SA) Deputy Chairman, and Sotirios Intzes (Drakopoulos Law) Economic Adviser form a strong team supporting the activities of the Hellenic-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce through their experience and active involvement.
The Chamber Director, Anamaria Diaconescu, presented the 2019 HRCC activities and pointed out the strategic objectives for the next 3 years.
Special attention shall be granted to:
Development of bilateral relationships between the 2 countries, both economically and culturally.
Extension and diversification of the services provided to members
Continuous consolidation of the relationships established with Bilateral Chambers of Commerce from Romania and with the non-political local organisations, as CDR (Coaliția pentru Dezvoltarea României – „Coalition for the Development of Romania”) and RBL (Romanian Business Leaders) etc.
Effective support of the Greek School and Church from Bucharest
HRCC discussions focussed on the topic related to offices’ opening in Greece, in Athens and Thessaloniki, as well as across the country, thus the cities targeted as a first development stage are Constanța, Iași, Cluj, and Timișoara.
About the Hellenic-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce (HRCC)
The Hellenic-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce is the most representative institution for the Greek business community from Romania. Since 2011 it has been holding the status of Romanian legal entity of public utility.
The Chamber’s core activity is to protect and develop commercial relations, jobs, services and exports as well as the development of economic and trade relations between Greece and Romania.
Concurrently, it supports any attempts meant to improve educational and cultural relations between the two countries, thus strengthening the business relationships between Greece and Romania.
The mission of the Chamber of Commerce is to take the pulse of the market and to systematically record Greek companies’ real needs. Its informative and advisory role allows it to intervene with the state institutions in order to find certain solutions to the problems of the companies and to ensure their continuous development.
The members of the Chamber are companies with Greek or mixed interests activating on Romanian and Greek soil.
