The European Architecture Students Assembly (EASA) 2022 came to Romania for the first time

HRCC was a proud supporter of this initiative

HRCC Board of Directors is enthusiast to announce that EASA 2022 European Architecture Students Assembly workshops took place in Romania for the very first time, after 41 years of successful international summer architectural festivals.

In this context, students of architecture met and took part in construction workshops, lectures, and exhibitions with the aim of helping the local community where the event took place. The event gets significant coverage from Architecture Magazines, websites and blogs, worth mentioning that one of the workshops organized under EASA umbrella has been nominated for the Mies van Der Rohe award, the most prestigious Architecture Award in Europe.

In its’ 42nd edition, the European Architecture Students Assembly [EASA] hold its summer event on the wide-encompassing theme of 1:1. Architecture students gathered in Calarasi, Romania, for two weeks, exchanging ideas through a program packed with workshops and lectures strongly relating to the theme of 1:1, conducted by professionals from divergent spheres of activity.

EASA is currently the biggest architecture students’ network spreading all across Europe, and a cultural platform that provides the space for free exchange of thoughts, ideas, methods and new architectural practices. The yearly EASA event gathers students and professionals to form a community of participants, tutors, organizers and guests.

This year in Romania we had the pleasure to host around 250 students, tutors and guests from all over Europe and Latin America. The event lasted 14 days, from the 30th of July to the 12th of August, 2022. The participants had the opportunity to work these days in more than 25 workshops which provided answers to the city’s urban and architectural challenges.

HRCC Director, Ms. Anamaria Diaconescu, has been invited as a guest in EASA Open Day on the 7th of August to visit the workshop sites and witness the progresses made and of course on the 12th of August, the day dedicated to the final review ceremony.

As a Chamber of Commerce, we strongly believed in this event, seeing it as an unique opportunity for our Real Estate members to support, as it provided a platform of innovative ideas on how to transform a city through architectural interventions, urban solutions, sustainable development and art.

We extend our gratitude to Globalworth Foundation and One United Properties for being real supporters of this event, sharing our belief that the young generations will always find the best ideas for a better living world!
