Investories CCE-R

Selgros Cash & Carry Romania (retail), Axpo Energy Romania (energy), and JTI Romania (tobacco) received recognition from the Switzerland-Romania Chamber of Commerce (CCE-R) for their financial results in the previous year in the categories of highest sales, highest productivity, and highest profit. These three companies, which achieved outstanding financial performance in 2022, were honored at the ‘The Swiss Get Together Annual Gala 2023: Inspiring Innovation’ event held on October 5, 2023, organized by the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland – Romania.

The trophy for the category with the highest sales was awarded to the retailer Selgros Cash & Carry, with a turnover exceeding 4.2 billion Romanian lei in 2022. In the category of highest productivity (turnover per employee), the winning company was Axpo Energy Romania, with a value of over 126 million lei per employee achieved in 2022. The largest profit, amounting to 933 million lei, was recorded by the cigarette manufacturer J.T. International Romania.

To grant these recognitions, CCE-R analyzed the financial results of the 114 members of the Chamber registered in Romania, of which 80 had submitted their balance sheets for the year 2022. The results analyzed by CCE-R were verified and validated by Teaha Management Consulting, which is also the auditor for CCE-R.

Over 100 businesspeople from Romania and Switzerland, as well as public administration officials, attended the second edition of the ‘The Swiss Get Together Annual Gala 2023: Inspiring Innovation’ event organized by CCE-R. The guest of honor at this year’s event was Prof. Dr. Alexander Bergmann, PhD, Honorary Professor at the University of Lausanne, who spoke about the Swiss way of management.
