Accor Achieves 1.434 Billion EUR in Q3 Revenue, Up 12% Year-on-Year
Accor reported a robust third-quarter performance in 2024, with revenue reaching 1.434 billion euros, marking a 12% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth was driven by the Group’s Luxury & Lifestyle brands, the strategic expansion in high-potential regions, and the positive impact of the Olympic Games in France, where Accor held Premium Partner status.
The Group’s RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room) grew by 5.3% in Q3 2024 compared to Q3 2023, underscoring Accor’s strong operational results. This was particularly evident in Europe and North Africa, where RevPAR rose by 6%. The Olympics in Paris provided a notable boost, with France, which accounts for 45% of RevPAR in the region, benefitting significantly from the event.
Accor’s growth in revenue varied across segments, with a 7% increase in its Premium, Midscale, and Economy division and a notable 18% rise in its Luxury & Lifestyle division. The Group’s expansion continued steadily, with the opening of 47 new hotels in the third quarter, adding 8,000 rooms to its global portfolio and representing a net increase of 3.2% over the past year. By the end of September 2024, Accor’s global portfolio included 5,638 hotels and nearly 839,000 rooms, with a development pipeline of 231,000 additional rooms across 1,380 hotels.
In Romania, Accor operates 22 hotels with 2,397 rooms. A highlight of the third quarter was the opening of the country’s first Swissôtel in Poiana Brașov, Romania’s premier ski resort. The 64-room Swissôtel, developed in partnership with local developer Norrma, is expected to set a new standard in hospitality and leisure in the region. Opened in early September, the hotel represents a 20-year franchise agreement and reinforces Accor’s long-term commitment to the Romanian market.
