Beko Romania supports Marius Nasta Institute’s Pulmonology Department with medical-grade appliances
Beko Romania has equipped the Pulmonology Department I of the “Marius Nasta” Institute in Bucharest with modern refrigeration units, enhancing hygiene, comfort, and operational efficiency for patients suffering from respiratory conditions. The initiative is part of the #ProiectNasta campaign and aligns with Beko’s long-term commitment to healthcare support.
Under the program “Beko for Health | Caring for People, with Responsibility for the Future,” the company has donated over 1,700 household appliances to hospitals and ambulance centers across Romania since 2020, improving care conditions for millions of patients and supporting daily medical operations.
The unit benefits more than 1,000 patients annually, many of whom are immunocompromised or in critical condition. The new equipment aims to ensure safer food and medicine storage and to create a more supportive hospital environment.
“Our role as leaders and organizations is to be present where help is urgently needed and to contribute with what we do best: delivering efficient, sustainable, and relevant solutions,” said Marius Mihăilescu, Country Director for Beko Romania, Moldova, Greece, Malta, and Cyprus.
The donation was facilitated by patient advocate Andi Cârlan, an oncology patient and the initiator of #ProiectNasta. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between hospitals, communities, and the private sector to drive fast and impactful change.
This contribution reflects Beko Romania’s broader social responsibility strategy and long-term focus on sustainability, reaffirming its active role in strengthening Romania’s healthcare infrastructure.
