On 29 March 2022, the 4th edition of „International Women’s Day” event took place at Muzeul de Artă Recentă (Recent Art Museum) in Bucharest, for the benefit of MARe Foundation.

For the second year, the Hellenic-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce supported this special event.

The event brought together personalities from the diplomatic and business environment who contribute permanently to social projects in our country. Participants enjoyed a private tour of the museum, presentations by the museum director Mr. Erwin Kessler and artist Codruța Cernea, as well as a recital by the IWA (The International Women’s Association) choir. For the first time, the museum roof hosted the post-event reception.

All funds raised at the event will benefit the Fabrica de Sens Festival in 2023.

Fabrica de Sens is a multi-year, educational program that aims to connect participants (children, teenagers, adults, but also professionals) to specific experiences aimed at developing artistic skills and techniques (painting, sculpture, photo and video), as well as developing a theoretical understanding of the image and its meanings.

Funds raised during IWD 2021 provided funding for the six-month Imagini sonore programme, the first project of Fabrica de Sens multi-year programme.
