EVOLOR, a major player in Romania’s paint and varnish industry, has inaugurated a new high-tech production facility on the Oltchim industrial platform in Râmnicu Vâlcea. This investment, worth EUR 3 million, is part of the company’s strategy to enhance production capabilities and expand its market reach.
In 2023, EVOLOR reported a turnover of 96.2 million RON, reflecting a 50% growth over the past two years, following its integration into the ROCA Industry holding. The new facility is expected to increase the company’s production capacity by 15%, with an estimated output of 10,000 tons of decorative plasters in its first full year of operation.
The state-of-the-art factory, covering 3,776 square meters, features robotic production lines, a modern research and development lab, and logistics areas. These advancements will allow EVOLOR to not only meet growing demand in Romania but also expand into international markets. In addition to the initial investment, EVOLOR has acquired 25,839 square meters of land to further develop production and logistics operations, signaling its commitment to continued growth.
EVOLOR’s investment contributes to the reindustrialization of the region, creating jobs and fostering economic development. The company has already seen a 23% increase in its workforce, now employing 168 people.
Bogdan Pîrvu, CEO of EVOLOR, commented: “Today marks a new chapter in the evolution of EVOLOR. With over 30 years of expertise, we are now positioned to become a formidable player in the European construction materials market, thanks to our investment in technology and innovation.”
