Greece’s National Day, March 25, celebrated with a symphonic concert at the Palace of Parliament
The celebration of March 25 is a double celebration for the Greeks and Greece’s fans everywhere – the day of the Annunciation and the commemoration of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and independence of Greece.
With the call “FREEDOM OR DEATH”, on March 25, 1821, the flame of the Greek revolution, whose fundamental values are the basis of the norms of the modern world, was ignited.
The Greek Revolution of 1821, which started in the Romanian Principalities, as well as the heroic deeds of the Greeks, and also of those who embraced their ideals, remain imprinted in golden letters in the universal history.
Today, 201 years after the outbreak of the revolution that led to the founding of the Greek nation, the message “DIGNITY, FREEDOM, PROSPERITY” remains more relevant than ever.
The Greek business community in Romania supports any creative initiative that highlights the good collaboration and friendship between the two nations.
In this context, on the National Day of Greece, a symphonic concert took place in C.A. Rosetti Hall of the Palace of Parliament, an event organized by the Hellenic Union of Romania under the auspices of the Greek Embassy in Bucharest. The concert, with a special performance by Ploiesti Philharmonic, was conducted by Mr. Anastasios Symeonidis, a renowned Greek conductor, currently artistic director of the Greek Radio Orchestra.
On behalf of the Hellenic-Romanian Bilateral Chamber of Commerce, its President, Mr. Christodoulos Seferis, wished A Happy Anniversary to the Greeks and Greece’s fans everywhere and conveyed the best thoughts to those who believe that the road to national rebirth rests primarily on their own powers, being inspired by the ideals and traditions of Greece.
“A HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO THE HELLENIC STATE!”
