20 years after its foundation, the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Romania) has rewarded the most successful representatives of the Romanian- German business environment, during its Anniversary Gala event, at the Palace of the Parliament.

The awards went to the companies: DAR Dräxlmaier Automotive, for the category „Business Excellence”, Bosch Group România, for the category „Our employees, our success”, E.ON România, for the category „Responsibility for the future” and Clariant Products România, for the category „Innovation and New Technologies”.

There were no less than 68 applications submitted to this competition, all of high quality, which made the jury’s task very difficult.

„This award shows how we have been reinvented ourselves in the last two years : from the wire harness production to the batteries’ production. The team was more or less the same, we had, of course, to change a lot, but people wanted the change and that was the key to our success. Thank you to my team and congratulations AHK for 20 years of successful work in Romania,” said the general manager Operations of Dräxlmaier company , Dr. Alexander Richard Schubel, while being awarded for the project „ E-Mobility Transformation”.

The initiator of the University Cooperation Programme, the Bosch Group, was the second winner. „The prize that I have the honor to receive today is for the Bosch Romania team and it will be a great pleasure to share it with my more than 8800 colleagues. I am sure that the next years will be at least as fruitful as the ones we have already experienced ,” emphasised Mihai Boldijar, general manager of Bosch Romania, on the award ceremony stage.

Next, the reprezentative of E.ON. Romania, Cristian Secoșan, picked up the prize awarded to the company for the initiative „Energy in schools”: „I am glad that I was part of AHK Romania’s Board on several occations and I also took part of this 20 – year history. Finally, I would like to say „Happy Birthday AHK!” and thanks for the award. ”

The company Clariant Products won the competition with its project „ Producing advanced biofuels from agricultural residues”. „It is a great honor for Clariant to take this prize. The last one and a half year was very difficult, it was the time when we developed the sunliquid technology, which converts agricultural residues to bioethanol, ” said Clariant’s reprezentative, Martin Ischebeck.

This is the first year when AHK Romania gives awards that recognize the effors and results achieved by the companies or their projects.

The 20th anniversary was celebrated by the members of AHK Romania together with high-level guests from the economic and political scene in Romania and Germany.
