PPC Group has finalized an agreement with Macquarie Asset Management’s Evryo Group to acquire a substantial renewable energy portfolio in Romania. The portfolio includes 629 MW of operational renewable energy assets and an additional 145 MW in pipeline projects, marking one of the largest transactions in Romania’s green energy sector. The total enterprise value of the deal is approximately €700 million.

Clifford Chance Badea, the Bucharest office of the global law firm Clifford Chance, provided legal counsel to PPC Group throughout the transaction. The multidisciplinary team, led by Partner Nadia Badea and Counsel Loredana Ralea, assisted with due diligence, regulatory matters, and the drafting and negotiation of final agreements. The firm’s extensive experience in M&A and renewable energy was critical to the successful completion of this complex deal.
